Description
    The platform covers the sensors and signal-processing circuits used to measure linear displacement, angular position and rotational speed - by both analog and digital methods. Four experiment cards are included. The centrepiece is a card with an integrated controllable drive that generates the reference motion, instrumented with three angle/speed sensors: a Hall sensor, a resolver and an optical encoder supporting incremental, binary and Gray code tracks. A second card provides a contactless inductive displacement sensor (LVDT) with its conditioning circuit; a third carries a capacitive displacement sensor with an AC measuring circuit; and a fourth implements the measurement amplifier for resolver experiments.
Courseware
    The interactive multimedia course - at least 6 hours of directed instruction - guides the calibration of each sensor, the recording of its characteristics, encoder signal decoding including quadrature, position and speed computation, and the comparison of sensing principles for the same physical quantity, with evaluation of resolution, repeatability and linearity errors. Signals are acquired and plotted by the ET300 base system's virtual instruments, with accessible measuring points at each conditioning stage; exercises are self-assessed, with Romanian-language support.
