ET331 · Electrical Network Analysis

Experimental Platform for the Analysis of Electrical Networks

A course package for building real resistor networks on a freely configurable connector panel - with integrated current and voltage sources - and verifying the classical theorems of circuit analysis by measurement.
Experiments
  • Kirchhoff's current and voltage laws applied to resistor networks
  • The superposition theorem for networks with multiple sources
  • Thévenin and Norton equivalent circuits and their equivalence
  • Millman's theorem for parallel sources
  • Star–delta transformation
  • The mesh-current and node-voltage analysis methods
  • Power matching between source and load
Description
The platform turns the classical theorems of circuit analysis into physical experiments. The experiment card is a freely configurable connector panel on which students build real resistor networks - from simple series and parallel combinations to multi-loop networks with several sources. Two constant-current sources and two constant-voltage sources are integrated directly on the card, and a set of 18 plug-in resistors provides the network elements. Every theorem in the DC circuit-analysis curriculum is then verified by measurement: currents and voltages are acquired by the ET300 base system's virtual instruments and compared against the calculated predictions.
Courseware
The interactive multimedia course - at least 5 hours of directed instruction - works through Kirchhoff's laws, superposition, Thévenin, Norton and Millman equivalents, star–delta transformation, the mesh-current and node-voltage methods, and power matching, each with a guided experiment on the card. Exercises are evaluated automatically, with Romanian-language support throughout.
Scope of Delivery
  • Network-analysis experiment card - connector panel with 2 constant-current and 2 constant-voltage sources
  • Set of plug-in resistors (≥ 15)
  • Storage case
  • Course browser and course software

Electrical Engineering Training System

A modular electrical-engineering training platform built around virtual instrumentation. The ET300 base system hosts a family of course modules covering three-phase systems, multimeter measurement, network analysis, and sensor measurement technology for non-electrical quantities.
