Experimental Apparatus for the Study of Industrial Sensors
A portable training kit that compares eight industrial position and proximity sensors - optical, inductive, capacitive, electromechanical and magnetic - against five target materials, with precise
switching-distance measurement on a scaled base plate.
Description
The training system is a hands-on comparison rig for the position and proximity sensors used throughout industrial automation. A base plate with a printed measurement scale carries adjustable
holders for eight sensors covering the key sensing principles: optical - including a fibre-optic light guide - inductive, capacitive, electromechanical and magnetic. A movable carriage holds one
of five interchangeable target plates of different materials and finishes - black aluminium, matt-black and silver steel, transparent plexiglass, and white plastic - so students see directly how
material, colour, surface texture and transparency determine which sensing principle responds.
All components and accessories listed under Scope of Delivery are supplied, whether or not they are visible in the photographs.
